Your AIWA credit balance can contain different types of credits. The two you’ll encounter most often are:
  • Monthly credits: included with your AIWA plan.
  • Top-up credits: additional credits you purchase when you need more building capacity.
Both can be used to build with AIWA, but they behave slightly differently. Monthly credits roll over. Top-up credits don’t expire. AIWA automatically uses your monthly credits first.

The Simple Version

Here’s the easiest way to understand it: You don’t need to manually choose which type of credit AIWA should use. AIWA manages this automatically.

What Are Monthly Credits?

Monthly credits are the credits included with your AIWA plan. For example, the standard Launchpad plan includes:
45 credits every month.
Paid plans include larger allocations depending on the plan and credit tier you’ve selected. Your monthly credits are added according to your plan’s credit cycle. For example:
Your plan gives you additional building capacity as each new allocation is added.

Unused Monthly Credits Roll Over

You don’t have to use all of your monthly credits before the end of the month. Unused monthly credits roll over. For example, suppose your plan adds 130 credits and you use only 80:
Those remaining 50 credits aren’t automatically lost simply because a new month begins. When your next allocation is added:
You don’t need to rush unnecessary builds simply to use your credits before the end of your billing cycle.

Your Credits Can Accumulate

Because unused plan credits roll over, your balance can grow during months when you build less. For example:
This gives you flexibility. You might build very little one month and then use more of your accumulated credits when you’re ready to work on a larger product.

What Are Top-Up Credits?

Top-up credits are additional credits you purchase separately from your normal plan allocation. They’re useful when you need more AIWA building capacity before your next plan allocation arrives. For example:
You don’t necessarily need to change your entire subscription just because you have one unusually busy month.

Top-Up Credits Do Not Expire

Purchased top-up credits do not expire. If you buy additional credits and don’t use all of them immediately, the remaining balance stays available for future AIWA work. For example:
You don’t need to use purchased top-up credits within the month you buy them.

Which Credits Does AIWA Use First?

If your account contains both plan credits and top-up credits, AIWA automatically uses your monthly/plan credits first. Only after those credits are exhausted does AIWA begin consuming your top-up balance. For example:
You don’t need to select a credit type before submitting a prompt. AIWA handles the order automatically.

Example

Suppose you have:
30 plan credits remaining
and:
200 top-up credits
Your total available building capacity is:
230 credits
Now suppose you perform AIWA actions that consume 50 credits. AIWA uses:
Your remaining balance becomes:
When your next plan allocation arrives, those new plan credits become available alongside your remaining top-up balance.

Why Use Plan Credits First?

AIWA manages your different credit balances automatically so you don’t need to think about which wallet should fund each action. Conceptually:
Your top-up balance therefore remains available whenever your included plan credits aren’t enough.

The Launchpad Welcome Credits

There’s one additional credit allocation new Launchpad users may see. Launchpad includes:
45 monthly credits
plus a:
10-credit one-time welcome cushion.
That means a new Launchpad account can begin with:
The distinction is important:
  • 45 credits: recurring monthly allocation
  • 10 credits: one-time welcome allocation
The additional 10 credits are not added again every month.

Monthly Credits vs Billing Month

Your credit allocation follows the applicable cycle for your AIWA plan. Don’t assume that everyone receives credits on the first day of the calendar month. For paid subscriptions, your account’s billing and credit cycle may be based on when your subscription began. For example:
You can check your AIWA account for your current plan and available credit balance.

What Happens If I Don’t Build This Month?

Nothing is wrong. Your unused credits can remain available. You don’t need to manufacture work simply because you have credits available. For example:
Then, when you have a larger project, you can use your accumulated balance.

What Happens If I Have a Busy Month?

This is where top-ups become useful. Suppose you normally have enough credits for your workflow, but this month you’re:
  • Launching a new SaaS
  • Building several client projects
  • Performing many iterations
  • Generating additional assets
  • Debugging a complex application
Instead of waiting for your next allocation:
We’ll show you how to purchase additional credits on the next page.

Should I Top Up or Upgrade?

It depends on whether your additional usage is temporary or recurring. Occasional extra usage A top-up may make more sense. For example:
I normally have enough credits, but I’m launching a large project this month.
Consistently needing more credits A higher plan or credit tier may make more sense. For example:
I’m running out of credits almost every month because I’m building several client applications.
Think of it as:

Your Projects Don’t Expire With Your Credits

Your credit balance and your projects are separate concepts. Credits power new AI work. They aren’t ownership tokens for your applications.
Running low on credits doesn’t mean AIWA deletes the project you already built.

You Don’t Need to Manage Credit Buckets Manually

The main thing to remember is that AIWA handles the mechanics for you. You don’t need to tell AIWA:
Use my monthly credits for this prompt.
or:
Save my top-up credits.
The system automatically follows the appropriate order.

Quick Reference

The result is designed to give you flexibility rather than forcing you to use credits simply because a deadline is approaching.
